Bauder take on the Three Peaks Challenge

The National Three Peaks Challenge is a well known phrase amongst the more adventurous. This challenge involves climbing the three highest mountains in the UK within 24 hours, and that’s exactly what an intrepid team from Bauder did.

On a clear sunny day in September, 40 people from Bauder – Area Technical Sales Managers, Site Technicians and Product Managers – hit the trails to take on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge.

The combined peaks – Penyghent (694m), Whernside (736m) and Ingleborough (723m) – have an ascent of 1600m and the teams walked an incredible 25 miles within just 12 hours.

Nick Rideout, Bauder Green Roof Production Manager, said:

‘If I’d known how hard the walk was going to be before I’d agreed to take part I probably wouldn’t have done it! It was a great team exercise.’

An amazing £3,860 of donations has been pledged so far and CRASH is incredibly grateful to be receiving this donation. Thank you to everyone who took part or supported those members of Bauder undertaking the challenge.
