NMBS Members and Suppliers dug deep into their pockets at the Annual NMBS Gala Dinner on the 11th May 2010 to help raise money for CRASH. In total £2000 was raised and CRASH would like to say a big thank you to NMBS for supporting CRASH once again at this event, and thank you to everyone who generously made a donation on the night.
Held the night before the NMBS Exhibition the Gala Dinner is an opportunity for Members and Suppliers to socialise and network before the day itself. Over 400 attendees enjoyed a three course meal and were then treated to a special guest speaker; the former Fifa and English Premiership referee Graham Poll. Poll is famous for cautioning the same player three times before sending him off in the 2006 World Cup. He regaled the audience with tales of famous footballers such as David Beckham and the infamous Highbury tunnel brawl between Patrick Viera and Roy Keane shortly before the highly anticipated match between Arsenal and Manchester United.
NMBS Managing Director, Chris Hayward said: ‘All those who attended the dinner were extremely generous in their donations to such a worthy cause. All of us at NMBS look forward to future events and helping raise more money for CRASH and other worthwhile causes.’
