The Construction Industry Dragon Boat Challenges, organised by Gable Events and supported by Media Partner Building, are major fundraising events for CRASH. We’d like to thank everyone who took part in the 2010 Manchester and London events; it was great to see so many of you clearly having fun while at the same time raising much-needed donations for CRASH.

Organisers Gable Events did a fantastic job of ensuring each and every person was well looked after, kept safe in (and occasionally out!) of the boats and ended their challenge day on a high wherever they were placed in the final scores.

We’re delighted that with the additional sponsorship raised by a number of teams and a donation from crew entry fees by Gable Events, the two events raised a total of over £26,000 for CRASH; a fantastic amount, thank you! Special thanks go to BAM Construct UK who raised the highest amount of additional sponsorship at both events, raising £2,757.71 in Manchester and £1,445 for the London event. Both crews won the Charity Challenge Award as well as a sumptuous Chinese banquet for their team courtesy of the Yang Sing restaurant in Manchester and a prize voucher of £200 for London generously sponsored by Encon Insulation/Neville Long.
