CRASH is one charity where a regular donation through Give As You Earn will make a real difference. How does the Give As You Earn scheme work?Give As You Earn is that rarest of things - a government scheme without any catches! This means that if, for example, you pledge £10 from your gross salary every month, it will only cost you £7.80. What's more - if you pay higher-rate tax, your £10 donation will cost you just £6. Is there a minimum contribution?No. You can give as little or as much as you want. Most people give at least £5, but there is no lower limit and you are not locked in for a particular length of time. Whatever you give will attract tax relief. Can I support more than one charity?Yes, you can choose to donate money to several charities each month. Even if the company you work for has their own official charity it supports, you are free to also give money to CRASH. Will administration charges be deducted from my donations?CAF makes a small administration charge (currently 4%) which it deducts from your donations before distributing them to CRASH. Some employers pay this administration cost. Matched givingSome employers use matched giving to support their staff's generosity in a number of ways - ranging from covering CAF's administration charge and anything up to 100% or even 200% of your donation.
