CRASH Award
Between 2000 and 2004 the CRASH Award of £1,000, made available to CRASH by an anonymous donor, was made annually to the author of the best piece of homelessness research published each year.
The CRASH Award programme is now complete and CRASH is working with the Homeless Link Research Forum to develop new ways to support the development of effective research in the sector.
Past Winners
- 2000 - Suzanne Fitzpatrick and Susanne Klinker of Glasgow University, for their work on the three part Single Homelessness Literature Review.
- 2001 - Georgie Parry-Crooke and Clare Croft-White for their publication Can't See, Won't See.
- 2002 - Maureen Crane and Anthony Warnes of Sheffield University, co-authors of Single Homeless People in London: Profile of Service Users and Perceptions of Needs.
- 2003 - Anwen Jones, Nicholas Pleace and Deborah Quilgars of the Centre of Housing Policy, University of York, authors of Firm Foundations: An Evaluation of the Shelter 'Homeless-to-Home' Service.
- 2004 - Andrew Van Doorn and Dominic Williamson, authors of Emergency Accommodation for Homeless People: Good Practice Companion (commissioned by Homeless Link).
