AECOM’s Fundraising Week Makes £3,438 for CRASH

Staff across AECOM’s UK and Ireland offices took part in a week-long fundraiser in July which raised an impressive £3,438 for CRASH.

“Thanks to everyone who donated or helped organise events in their office – we’ve raised a fantastic amount,” said AECOM’s Catarina Portugal, Corporate and Social Responsibility (CSR) manager.  “AECOM has been a Patron of CRASH since 2003, offering our construction expertise, time and money to support them in providing a caring environment for vulnerable people.”

Offices raised money in lots of different ways from bake sales and dress down days, to cycling challenges, indoor picnics, samosa and doughnut sales, a raffle, table tennis tournament and guess the weight of the cake competition.

There were some impressive individual challenges too. AECOM’s Felix Gracia, Giacomo Vecia and Alex Pena took part in the London Triathlon raising a magnificent total of £1,070, while Brian George, Regional Director from Manchester (pictured left), cycled for six and a half hours in the London 100 challenge. He’s raised £418.75 so far – help him reach his £600 target by sponsoring him.

CRASH Fundraising & Events Manager Kate Marsh said:

“This was a great initiative from AECOM which not only raised awareness of our work with homelessness and hospice charities but also much needed money so that we can continue to give cash grants. Thank you to everyone who got involved.”
