Bear Grylls Survival Race in aid of CRASH Charity

On Saturday 30th September a team of 122 daring fundraisers from across the construction industry took to Trent Park in order to complete the Bear Grylls Survival Race in aid of CRASH Charity. Teams from CRASH’s Patron companies included: 8Build, ACO,  Arcadis, Argent, Areen Design, Galliford Try, British Gypsum and Imtech. They were joined by Almacantar, Core Five, Guildmore and N-able. Through their joint effort of fundraising they have so far raised an incredible £17,104 (and still rising!).

The majority of the fundraisers conquered either the 10k or 5k assault course however three super challengers – Andrew Nightingale, Craig Buckley and Tom Yorke from 8Build – took it to the next level and battled Bear Grylls’ toughest feat of all, “The Ultimate Survival Race” which included over a 100 obstacles and 10 survival challenges across a 30k stretch.

Zanika Fearon, CRASH’s Fundraising and Events Manager said ‘On behalf of all of us at CRASH thank you to all of those who took part! It was a fantastic day and everyone was up for the challenge. The money you have raised will make a real difference to people’s lives and we are so grateful for your generosity, enthusiasm and support’.
