Construction Dragon Boat Challenge has raised over 20 years £400K for CRASH

We are delighted that the Construction Dragon Boat Challenge has raised an incredible £423,293 over 20 years for CRASH charity.

This year’s sell-out challenge, which took place on the 21st June 2018 at West Reservoir, London, saw 40 crews from across the industry battle it out over a 200m race course.

Each crew had three races with the fastest times going through to the semi-finals and then the ultimate final.

Morgan Masters were crowned the Construction Industry Dragon Boat Challenge Champions for a third year in a row with a time of 35.87. In second place were the Blenheim Blasters with a time of 36.39 and in third were Core Five with a time of 37.97.

The CRASH Charity Fundraising Champions were Astins who raised over £2,450 in sponsorship and won the Charity trophy and CRASH prize for the top fundraisers (a day out sailing in Port Solent on the date of your choice courtesy Sunsail Events). Special mention also to 2nd place Graham Construction Ltd – £1,460 and 3rd place Szerelmey – £1,375. Thanks to all the teams for their superb fundraising efforts. Team sponsorship combined with entry fee donations of £12,200 brings the total raised so far for CRASH to approximately £21,200 and still rising!

CRASH would like to gratefully acknowledge the amazing support received our media partner Building Magazine, West Reservoir Watersports Centre, our Platinum crews; ACO Technologies, Arcadis, Astins, Bond Davidson, Forterra, Mace and Willmott Dixon Construction and also our Premier crews for their additional contributions plus all those who participated and raised money for CRASH. We would also like to support our raffle prize sponsors: Dulux TradeHansonSipsmithKnauf InsulationSunsail and Spectrum. This event would not be possible without the tremendous input and organisation from Gable Events for which we are so grateful, thank you.
