Construction Industry takes on Rough Runner raising over 11K for CRASH

Over 80 brave individuals from across the construction industry took part in Rough Runner on Saturday 8th – Sunday 9th September 2018 at Finsbury Park, London raising £11,279.02 for their industry charity CRASH.

Teams from across CRASH’s Patron companies took part including: 8build, Arcadis, ACO, and Imtech. They were joined by CRASH Fundraising Champions N-able and Guildmore and CRASH supporters O’Donovan.

Runners conquered either 5km or 15km distances and battled with up to 15 Total Wipepout and Gladiators style obstacles, all finishing with the travelator and slide into a cold pool, and still with smiles on their faces!

Guildmore Gladiators were crowned the Rough Runner 2018 CRASH fundraising winners raising an incredible £2687.50. Thank you to all the teams for your tremendous efforts all in aid of CRASH charity.

Kate Marsh, Senior Partnership Manager at CRASH said:

‘‘HUGE thank you to everyone who took part in Rough Runner 2018. The money you have raised will make a real and lasting difference to the lives of vulnerable people who are homeless or those who need end of life care in a hospice. We had such a fantastic day and we can’t wait to see you all again taking part next year!’’

We are so grateful to our media partner Builders’ Merchants News for helping us to promote Rough Runner to the wider industry and to our goody bag sponsors 8build, Hilti, OCR Magazine, Dickies, Natural Balance Foods UK and Peppersmith Mints for their donation of gifts to help refuel our runners!

If you would like to take part in a fundraising event for CRASH we would love to hear from you. Please phone 0208 742 0717  or email us on fundraising@crash.org.uk
