CRASH has appointed two new Trustees to its Board. Alastair Bell (MD British Gypsum) and Ian Bolster (BDM Imtech) join a well-established Board headed by Chairman Alan Brookes (CEO Arcadis).
Alastair Bell was born and educated in Glasgow, graduating from Strathclyde University with a BSc and then going back later in life to complete an MBA. Alastair Bell has spent a large part of his working career in various businesses in Sales and Marketing jobs before moving with his family to Paris in 2006. He undertook two worldwide roles based from Paris- Managing Director of Saint-Gobain Formula in 2006, then Marketing Director for the worldwide gypsum business of Saint-Gobain in 2009. He returned to the UK in 2015 to take up his current position as Managing Director of British Gypsum.
Ian Bolster joined Imtech Engineering Services in 1996 (then known as Meica Services) as a Draughtsperson. He progressed steadily through the business in various roles from CAD Manager, Project Engineer, Project Manager, Engineering Manager, to his current role as Business Development Manager for the London and South Region. He was awarded an Honours degree in Energy Engineering by Southbank University in 2001 after completing 5 years part-time study and also attained a Higher National diploma and a BSc in Building Services during that time. Ian has extensive experience in Building Services Engineering and Project Management and more recently in his role as BDM he has gained experience in Strategic Planning, Bid-management, CRM implementation and built and very strong network of relationships with clients, main contractors and consultants.
