CRASH was delighted to be chosen as the benefitting charity for the NMBS Gala Dinner which took place on the 9th April, the evening before the number one buying and selling event the NMBS Exhibition, at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry.
Over 600 people attended the Dinner, enjoying a sumptuous three-course meal and a great night of socialising and networking.
The special guest at the dinner was ex-footballer, football manager and current King of the Jungle Harry Redknapp. A huge hit with the audience, Redknapp mingled and took hundreds of selfies with delegates before taking to the stage to regale a spellbound audience with funny stories and anecdotes from his fascinating 50+ year career in football.
The evening raised an incredible £6,537, for CRASH through a charity prize draw, sponsored by Makita.
Kate Marsh, Senior Partnership Manager at CRASH said:
‘‘A huge thank you to NMBS and their members and suppliers for their generosity. Your support means CRASH can continue to create places that care for people who are homeless or need end of life care in a hospice.’’
NMBS, the UK’s largest buying society for independent builders’, timber, plumbing and heating, and hardware merchants are a continued dedicated supporter of CRASH.
