There were geese-a-plenty in the Capital for CRASH charity’s inaugural Wildgoose Chase Challenge.

30 teams from the construction industry joined forces to take part in the first-ever Wildgoose Chase in aid of CRASH charity. The event, organised by Taylor Wimpey graduates as part of their graduate development programme, welcomed teams from Taylor Wimpey, Ben Adams Architects, Ocktink, Arcadis, Forterra, London Building Control, CBRE and Property Week.

Arriving at CBRE, Henrietta House on Thursday 21st September, with wet-weather gear and a sense of humour, teams were challenged to a GPS challenge around the Capital. Armed with an ipad, teams completed a variety of interactive tasks which saw participants dance on the streets, fashion newspaper outfits and clamber into telephone boxes for points. A video of what they got up to can be found here.

Taylor Wimpey team Lost In The Pub were ultimately crowned the 2017 CRASH Wildgoose Champions, taking home the coveted CRASH Goose and winners’ medals.

The event raised an incredible £15,000 for CRASH charity, which will go towards assisting homelessness and hospice charities across the UK with their building projects.

CRASH Chief Executive Francesca Roberts said of the event ‘We’re so grateful to Taylor Wimpey for developing this unique event for CRASH Charity and to those teams who took part. It was wonderful to see the industry come together and embrace their inner-goose in support of their industry charity. We hope this will develop to be a regular event in CRASH’s fundraising calendar.’

CRASH would like to thank CBRE for use of their stylish venue, media partner Property Week and Taylor Wimpey for their incredible support.
