The Jericho Foundation is a registered charity which exists to help the most disadvantaged to overcome social problems and to get back into employment. Jericho started in 1993 as a drop-in centre to serve the most disadvantaged people in Balsall Heath, Birmingham. Today Jericho is considered to be one of the country's leading social enterprises with offices in Birmingham and Rochdale, providing advice, guidance, training and support for more than 1000 people a year.
The Jericho Foundation runs several outreach projects in inner-city areas to help and engage people with disadvantages and to provide the necessary support and guidance to help them into work. Jericho also provides paid work experience in their social enterprise businesses, which offer services in the following areas: printing and promotional items, design and marketing, construction, landscaping, catering and cleaning.
The Print & Production business engages around 70 clients on six-month paid work experience contracts. It is based on the ground floor within The Jericho Foundation's main facility in Balsall Heath, along with a cafe, a fully equipped job search suite, training and conference rooms, workshop areas and a leisure room.

How CRASH helped The Jericho Foundation:
CRASH has helped by pledging a
cash grant of £30,000 which has enabled Jericho to re-develop their
Print & Production room so they can run the service more efficiently and
effectively.
Bob Candlin, Business Development Manager for The Jericho Foundation
said:
"My experience of working with CRASH has been extremely positive
and the funding and technical support they provided has allowed us to
create a working environment for young unemployed of a high standard,
and something both organisations should be proud of."
