The Construction Industry Regatta in aid of CRASH

Thursday 6th July 2023 will see the return of The Construction Industry Regatta in aid of CRASH (formerly the CRASH Sailing Cup). With a new name and new yachts, the exclusive event will be hosted on board Sunsail’s fleet of luxury Sunsail 41.0 yachts, and will raise money for CRASH – the construction industry’s charity.

The day will allow a perfect opportunity to network with other professionals in the industry and enjoy some friendly competition on the water with a series of matched fleet races. The regatta is a fantastic team building event and a wonderful opportunity to entertain clients.

For every yacht that enters, a charitable donation to CRASH is included in the package, meaning the regatta will not only be fun for the industry, but will support our work with homelessness charities and hospices.

The regatta takes starts and finishes in Port Solent Marina, Portsmouth (PO6 4TJ), and is within easy reach of train stations, Southampton Airport and the M27, with ample free parking at the marina.

Itinerary

Wednesday 5th July, 2023 – Practice Charters 

Practice charters are available the day before the race.

Thursday 6th July, 2023 – Race Day

08:30 Hrs  Teams arrive for Registration & Breakfast at Wildwood

09:00 Hrs  Introductions to your Skippers and Mate

09:30 Hrs  Safety brief and head out to the race area on the Solent.

10:55 Hrs  First warning signal from Race Control

11:00 Hrs  Race 1 commences.

12:30 Hrs  Lunch will be served on board

13:00 Hrs  Up to 2- 3 races planned

16:30 Hrs Teams return to Port Solent

17:00 Hrs  Prize giving, Charity Raffle and Afternoon Tea at Wildwood Restaurant.

Please note that all onshore catering will be at Wildwood
