8build and VolkerFitzpatrick cross the ASICS 10k finish line in aid of CRASH

Runners from CRASH Corporate Patrons VolkerFitzpatrick and 8Build raced to the finish line at the ASICS 10k on Saturday 9th July, with family and friends cheering them on.

8Build’s Andrew Nightingale has been running in aid of CRASH since 2015, tackling distances from 5km to half marathons. Demonstrating his hard work and dedication to training, he completed the 10km in an impressive 42 minutes and 52 seconds. Through the generosity of friends, family and colleagues, Andrew raised an incredible £1,003 towards CRASH’s vital construction projects – helping those who are homeless as well as adults and children in need of end of life care.

William Atkins from VolkerFitzpatrick also took on the ASICS 10k, fundraising for CRASH for the first time. Not only did he complete the challenge of crossing the iconic Whitehall finish line, but he also smashed his fundraising target, raising an amazing £405 for CRASH.

“I have always wanted to help CRASH since they became affiliated with 8build, having been with them for 13 years. The best way I have been able to fundraise for them is by entering races since 2015, which has been very enjoyable – running routes such as Windsor, London & Bournemouth. By doing so, I have been able to raise close to £8k for CRASH, supporting their work helping homelessness charities and hospices across the UK.”
