CRASH delighted to return to the CPA Autumn Lunch as charity partner
Argent’s Controlled Mayhem at Kings Cross
Controlled mayhem was the order of the day when CRASH Patron Argent hosted a Zorb Football tournament.
16 teams from companies working on the Kings Cross development – including fellow Patrons Carillion and BAM – took part raising over £1,400 for CRASH.
Based “loosely” on traditional Football rules – for example there is no off-sides! – each player is encased in a large ball.
The game with the Football ball in the middle of the field. The players stand on their prospective goal lines & when the ref blows the whistle everyone runs to the ball at the same time resulting in some Bubble Ballers rolling around on the ground! The real fun is just beginning because when you crash into another player, both of you will go flying in different directions.
The winning teams for each league were Kier R7, Hoare Lea, Gardiner & Thebold and Carillion R6/R8. The overall winner once the stats were put together was Kier R7.
“It was such a fun event with over 150 people taking part in the tournament. Congratulations to the winners and thank you to everyone who took part and made a donation. Your support is really appreciated and will make a difference to people’s lives.”
