CRASH celebrates Corporate Patrons and partner charities at annual event
The CRASH Corporate Patrons’ Reception and Above and Beyond Awards is an annual celebratory event to recognise companies and individuals who have gone the extra mile to support CRASH. The evening also gave a platform to four of the charities CRASH has supported over the last 12 months, giving guests an opportunity to hear first-hand how their commitment to CRASH impacts the lives of people experiencing homelessness and those receiving hospice care.

During the presentation, Francesca Roberts spoke to 4 charities about their work, and how CRASH has helped them with their buildings. Francesca moved around the room, with guests following to hear first-hand the incredible work undertaken daily by Ashgate Hospice, Emmaus Hertfordshire, Kairos Community Trust and St Christopher’s Hospice and the impact of the patron’s support.
Following the presentations, guests could meet and speak with the charities at individual stands to learn more about the challenges each organisation face and the highlights of their valuable work in the charity sector.
To close the presentations Francesca presented two individuals with The Tony Denison Award. This award is named after CRASH founder, and former industry professional Tony Denison. It celebrates individuals who share Tony’s values and qualities, such as compassion and commitment to helping people. CRASH was pleased to present Anne Cartwright of The Manna, and Amanda Dubarry of Your Place with this award to recognise each of their incredible contribution to the homelessness sector.
Arcadis, Galliford Try and Heidelberg Materials generously sponsored the evening, so the event could be held at no cost to CRASH or donations. Including delicious CRASH Cupcakes for guests to enjoy!
Guests also had the opportunity to pledge their support of CRASH’s Christmas card appeal and sign up to learn more about fundraising opportunities from the upcoming ‘Santa in the City’ fun runs and events to get excited for in 2024.
