CRASH delighted to return to the CPA Autumn Lunch as charity partner
CRASH attends its first awards of 2022 and it’s the Builders Merchant News 20th Anniversary Awards
CRASH was delighted to be one of the benefiting charities at this year’s Builders Merchant News (BMN) Awards, which marked their 20th anniversary of holding the renowned lunchtime event.
A big congratulations to those shortlisted and to those who won.
Thank you to CRASH supporter, Courtney Smith Group who sponsored a case of champagne for the charity draw, and a huge thank you to the guests who donated and entered, raising an impressive £5,214.73 for the benefitting charities.
The donations raised at the BMN Awards will help CRASH to construct places that care for people who are homeless and children and adults who need hospice care.
One example is a project CRASH recently completed for Wakefield Hospice:
For patients in a hospice, visits from family and friends are the most important part of your day. The carpark is a visitors first impression, and an uneven service with potholes and extensive cracking can make for an un-settling first impression. Wakefield Hospice car park had suffered 30 years of constant use and weathering, the surface was also unsafe which was a particular problem for visitors with disabilities or impairments.
This project required an extensive amount of building materials. Alongside the help of its Corporate Patrons and supporters like the Builders Merchant News Awards, CRASH reconstructed the hospice car park into a safe and welcoming first impression for its visitors.
“The awards team are amazed at the generosity of everyone on the day and want to thank you all for donating. CRASH is a very important charity for the builders’ merchants sector and the Awards are proud to have been able to help raise money for a charity that puts targeting homelessness at the top of its agenda.”
