Reds10’s Meet Your Mountain Challenge raises an incredible £42,000 in aid of CRASH
CRASH Corporate Patrons take on 100 mile cycle ride in aid of CRASH
The return of popular cycling event Ride-London saw 19 brilliant CRASH supporters from Corporate Patron’s Arcadis, British Gypsum, Hanson UK, Imtech, Morrisroe Group, NG Bailey and Reds10, take part and fundraise for our work with homelessness charities and hospices.
The 100-mile route went from London to Essex, a change from the previous Surrey Hills, taking cyclists from Westminster Bridge, up into Essex via Epping Forest. Riders were cheered on and offered homemade flapjacks by locals along the route before heading back to London to cross the finish line at the iconic Tower Bridge.
After signing up in January, each of them dedicated themselves to training and fundraising, to complete the 100-mile challenge whilst raising vital funds for our charity projects.
Together, they raised an incredible £17,000, which will help to construct places that care for people who are homeless and children and adults with a life-limiting illness. CRASH can only continue our work supporting vulnerable people across the UK, with the generosity and enthusiasm of wonderful fundraisers like our Ride London team. This year we had our biggest team yet at 19 strong and they truly went above and beyond to make a huge impact.
What some of our rider’s had to say…
‘’I am really proud of my achievement in completing the ride, it was great having something to train for and I am ecstatic with the support that I received in raising the money for a great cause.’’
Hanson
”Both Steve and I have been keen cyclists for many years so to take part in the biggest cycling event of the year was fantastic but to also have the opportunity to raise much needed funds for our Patron charity CRASH was a perfect combination.”
