CRASH Corporate Patrons unite
The CRASH Corporate Patron Forum returned this June, inviting guests from Corporate Patron companies who champion CRASH within their business to Gardiner and Theobald’s London head office.
Trialling a new format for this year, guests joined a series of collaborative group sessions with fellow Corporate Patrons hosted by the CRASH team and guest speakers.
Sessions covered CRASH’s current project portfolio, communications, fundraising and gave the opportunity to hear from a hospice and homeless charity beneficiary of CRASH.
Homelessness charity, Branches Waltham Forest Churches Night Shelter shared details on their current CRASH project, a full refurbishment of a six-bed move on house in Waltham Forest. Guests listened to the importance of move-on accommodation, in a person’s journey from homelessness to independent living and heard the difference this project will make to the residents who will call this house a home.
Trisha Pickersgill, Chief Executive at CRASH, provided an interesting insight into CRASH’s support, having experienced the charity’s help first-hand in her previous role at Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care. CRASH helped the hospice to deliver two projects, a full ground floor re-configuration and refurbishment of their day hospice in St Albans and a car park upgrade at the same site.
The CRASH Corporate Patron companies are the beating heart of CRASH. The charity only exists with their annual financial contribution and donations of professional expertise and construction products. CRASH is grateful to all, who make constructing places that care for people possible. View CRASH Corporate Patrons.
A special mention to Gardiner & Theobald for hosting this event and sponsoring the refreshments.
“The Corporate Patrons Forum is a CRASH event I’m particularly fond of, having attended as a guest speaker in my previous role as a hospice beneficiary of CRASH. It was wonderful to meet the people who are the driving force of CRASH in our Corporate Patron companies and what better week to do this in than National Volunteers Week. CRASH is a charity that people of the construction industry can feel proud to be part of and I look forward to meeting even more loyal supporters in the coming months.”
