CRASH & our Corporate Patrons donate over £88k in products, services and a grant to homelessness charity

1. New Resource Centre giving homeless people employability and life skills to get back into training, education and work

Crawley Open House has been supporting homeless and vulnerable people in West Sussex since 1994. The charity strives to help people suffering the effects of homelessness, unemployment, loneliness, discrimination, and other forms of social exclusion. They run a hostel, three move-on houses, a day centre and now their new Resource Centre.

Crawley Open House applied to CRASH to help refurbish an industrial unit they purchased. The team have long wanted to create a meaningful project to offer training and work to those who would benefit from it, but they never had the space to do it – until now.

“We are hugely grateful to CRASH and its Corporate Patrons for their specialist help around the design, planning and construction of our new Resource Centre. Crucially CRASH was the first funder to catch our vision and commit to a large grant towards it, which in turn encouraged others to do likewise. Thank you so much for your generosity, expert help and encouragement.”
Charlie Arratoon, CEO Crawley Open House

2. Have you set a date for your #picnicforCRASH?

We have enjoyed seeing the photographs of your teams getting together to host your own #picnicforCRASH whilst enjoying the sunshine, games and impressive baked cakes! It is fantastic to see how each company has had their own creative spin on a summer picnic and made it your own, from donating the price of a drink to adding a raffle… and it’s not over yet. You still have the whole summer to get involved and fundraise for CRASH.

Could you challenge another company or department to a rounders match? Or perhaps, set a date for a ‘CRASH week’ and host regional picnics across your offices, staying connected through your shared support of your industry charity.

3. VolkerFitzpatrick unite their supply chain to raise over £22K for CRASH at their charity golf day

The Paul Lane Memorial Golf Day, organised by VolkerFitzpatrick, is an annual event to remember a colleague and raise vital funds for CRASH and leaving a legacy by supporting CRASH’s work with homelessness charities and hospices across the UK. This year, the golf day raised an incredible £22,331 to help people who are homeless and children and adults who need hospice care.

“The day couldn’t have gone any better, a fantastic amount of money raised for our supported charity CRASH, as well as the chance to remember & celebrate the life of our friend & colleague Paul Lane.”
John O’Grady, Commercial Director – Building Division at VolkerFitzpatrick
