Carillion has achieved the status of a Platinum Big Tick company, a new branding in the Index for 2013. BAM Construct UK and John Laing plc were ranked in the Platinum list whilst Balfour Beatty was awarded Gold.
The CR Index is an in-depth voluntary benchmark of corporate responsibility which has run for over a decade. Designed to help companies in all industry sectors measure and manage all aspects of their social and environmental performance, the index helps to shape how they integrate and improve corporate responsibility throughout their business operations and benchmark themselves against competitors.
Being a Patron partner of CRASH like, Carillion has been for the past 13 years, gives companies the opportunity and means to help homeless people in a practical and tangible way. It is also fantastic way to unite and inspire staff and colleagues while meeting company Corporate Social Responsibility targets.
Achieving Platinum Big Tick status means that Carillion can demonstrate that it is making long-term investments to improve or launch new environmentally and socially sound products and services and is embedding responsible values throughout the workforce.
