NMBS continues support of CRASH at Gala Dinner
The National Merchant Buying Society (NMBS) have loyally supported CRASH for over 15 years and this April, their iconic Trade Exhibition and Gala Dinner returned to The Building Society Arena in Coventry, raising vital donations for two charities including CRASH.
Members of NMBS took a break between the two busy exhibition days to enjoy an evening of entertainment, dinner and networking. Joined by special guest, championship boxer and I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here runner up, Tony Bellew. Before settling down to hear Tony’s interview, guests donated generously in the charity draw for their chance to win an iPad kindly sponsored by Makita.
A BIG thank you to those who raised an incredible £4,471 for the two charities, and to NMBS who generously rounded up donations to £5,000. The donations raised for CRASH at this event will make a difference to charity construction projects all over the UK. CRASH relies entirely on the construction industry to create warm and welcoming environments for people who are homeless and children and adults who need hospice care.
Ahead of her retirement this May, Francesca Roberts, CRASH Chief Executive was recognised and thanked for her invaluable contribution to the sector, uniting the industry to deliver meaningful social impact for homelessness charities and hospices via essential construction projects.
Hannah Miller, Communications and Events Manager at CRASH popped by the second day of the NMBS Trade Exhibition to say hello to the CRASH Corporate Patrons who were exhibiting. It was good to catch up with ACO Group, Genuit Group, Knauf Insulation, Heidelberg Materials and British Gypsum – check out our video here.
“It is incredibly touching to be recognised by NMBS for my contribution to the industry and the charitable sector. I have had the pleasure of working with the society during my time at CRASH and am grateful for all they have done to raise vital donations and support our work constructing places that care for people who are homeless and children and adults receiving hospice care. My sincere thanks to NMBS and their members.”
