It takes a special kind of MD to inspire grown men to have their legs waxed, teams run marathons, customer service reps to bake hundreds of cupcakes and entire departments to dress up as cartoon characters, but this is exactly what British Gypsum’s Managing Director Mike Chaldecott has done for his 100k in 100 day challenge.

Members of Hilti’s southern division team discovered the harsh realities of sleeping rough when they undertook a challenge to spend a night under the stars – or rain clouds as it transpired – raising over £2,700 for CRASH which was generously matched by Hilti GB Ltd bringing the total to more than £5,000.

Congratulations to all CRASH patrons who were recognised for their outstanding work in the BCI Awards at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane where over 900 of the industry elite celebrated 25 years of construction and engineering excellence.

Motivated by this year’s phenomenal successes in British cycling, a team of six took on the 54 mile challenge to ride from London to Brighton on 16th September raising over £1,200 along the way.
