The NMBS celebrates its 60th year at Dinner Dance, honouring CRASH as their charity partner once again

Taking place on the 28th October at the prestigious Grosvenor House Hotel in London, over 1,100 guests gathered for the magical NMBS Dinner Dance. The best social event in the Independent Merchants calendar, and CRASH was proud to return as the chosen charity.

As the evening commenced, guests enjoyed a drink’s reception and delicious three course meal, followed by a laser show and entertainment from comedian Brian Connelly. Among the attendees this year was Rocky Robin, who flitted alongside the CRASH team!

Guests generously donated raising an amazing £9,992.82, which was kindly rounded up to £11,000 by the NMBS.  CRASH is incredibly grateful to all those who donated; it is thanks to these contributions that CRASH is able to create places that care for some of the most vulnerable people in our society, those who are homeless and children and adults receiving hospice care.

CRASH Corporate Patrons British Gypsum, Genuit Group and Heidelberg Materials sponsored the event; it’s amazing to see our Corporate Patrons consistently supporting the National Merchants Buying Society. A special mention to Aaron Frogley, who received the Tatton Award, which was named after NMBS’s first CEO John Tatton in recognition for his exceptional fundraising work, which included the  successful Pavestone Rally 2023, of which CRASH was a benefitting charity.

Thank you to NMBS for inviting CRASH to a wonderful evening, and to Makita for generously donating an iPad Pro as the Charity draw prize. We are so grateful to Carmen Harris from AECOM who joined the CRASH team for the evening, and the NMBS volunteers for helping to collect donations.

“Our Dinner Dance has one simple objective – to thank our members and suppliers for their tremendous support and to give them the opportunity to relax and enjoy each other’s company, with fine wine, great food and fantastic entertainment and this year didn’t disappoint.”
