CRASH HELPS: Rennie Grove Hospice Care

CRASH is thrilled to announce the completion of a new car park at Rennie Grove Hospice Care, thanks to the dedication and generosity of CRASH Patrons, led by Arcadis, Hanson and Morrisroe.

Based in Hertfordshire, Rennie Grove Hospice Care provides care and support for patients in Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire diagnosed with life-limiting illness.

The need

‘‘There was suddenly an urgent need to refurbish and redevelop our existing car park, and some of the garden, to ensure we secured much needed parking. Without refurbishing and creating replacement parking spaces local patients with life-limiting illness and their families would not have been able to access the wide range of therapies, treatments and holistic care provided by Rennie Grove Hospice Care at its Grove House building.’’

Before & After:

How CRASH Patrons helped

CRASH Patron companies Arcadis, Hanson and Morrisroe led the project and generously provided their professional expertise saving the charity on significant costs and delivering a superb new car park.

  • £62,172 in professional expertise donated by CRASH Patrons Arcadis, Hanson and Morrisroe
  • £40,000 cash grant awarded by CRASH, brining the total value of support to £102,172.

The Impact

‘‘When you are diagnosed with a life-limiting illness your life is thrown into complete turmoil so attending support sessions at Rennie Grove Hospice Care is hugely beneficial and having the ability to park removes the stress and anxiety associated with trying to get to the appointment on time. It is the simple things that make life more bearable.’’

‘’Rennie Grove would not have had the skills required or the resource to have ensured the project ran as smoothly as it did, completing within timescales and with minimal unforeseen problems. It has been an excellent well lead project and we are hugely grateful.’’
