VolkerFitzpatrick Paul Lane Memorial Golf Day continues to raise vital money for CRASH
On Thursday 18th June, the CRASH Sailing Regatta once again set sail on the Solent. 6 teams took to the waves for a fantastic day of friendly competition, team building and industry networking – all in aid of CRASH, the construction industry’s charity. This year, once more expertly hosted by Prometheus Sailing, the event raised £3,000 to help homelessness charities and hospices with vital construction projects.
Our patrons and supporters came together from across the construction industry for the day with Cundall, PHP Architects, Merrick & Company UK and Rider Leavitt joining alongside CRASH. Cundall were the 2026 winners, proving they are still the captains of the waves after their 2025 victory too!
CRASH was generously gifted a boat for the event, giving a team of Trustees, Patrons, and longstanding supporters the chance to sail and represent the charity. We extend our thanks to Ian Bolster, CRASH Deputy Chairman from Deerns; Ian Tilley from NG Bailey; Jonathon Bayliss; George Baldwin from VolkerFitzpatrick; Vicky Stipetic from Taylor Wimpey; Joshua Knight and Liliia Kuksina from MAKE Architects; and Charlie Bayliss from Beale & Co for their enthusiastic participation and support as part of the crew.
A huge thank you as well to Prometheus Sailing for their continued partnership and support.
The CRASH Sailing Regatta continues to be a favourite in our annual fundraising calendar, offering professionals a unique opportunity to network within the industry, challenge themselves, and directly support the creation of safe, dignified spaces for vulnerable people. With each team’s entry fee including a donation to CRASH, participants not only competed for the win but also had a direct impact on CRASH and our continued work.
