Builders Merchant Awards return with CRASH as a benefiting charity
The Builders Merchant Awards is the longest running awards ceremony in the builders’ merchant sector – in its 21st year, CRASH was delighted to return as one of the benefiting charities.
Over 700 guests gathered at the Park Plaza in Westminster, as comedian Jason Manford awarded 24 trophies to the very best in the merchanting sector. Thanks to the generosity of those who attended, the Builders Merchant Awards raised an astonishing £6,337.24 for the two benefiting charities; CRASH and Band of Builders.
A huge thank you to CRASH supporter, Courtney Smith Group who kindly donated a case of champagne in the charity draw, Jewson who donated a round of golf at the Belfry and car championship tickets, and to venue hosts, the Park Plaza, Westminster for donating an afternoon tea.
CRASH is proud to have a wonderful network of Corporate Patrons who volunteer their time to help the team at industry awards. Thank you to the volunteers from Arcadis and Beale & Co, who kindly volunteered their time to help at the Builders Merchant Awards, with such an amazing turn out – we really could not have done it without them!
“CRASH continues to help so many people who are homeless and sleeping rough – and adults and children who need end of life care in a hospice. Every single penny is vital towards constructing or rebuilding the hospices, shelters and homes that make such a difference to their lives. At a time when everyone’s finances are being squeezed, it is amazing that more than £6,000 was raised at the Builders Merchants’ Awards. This illustrates not only the generosity of this brilliant industry but is testimony to the high esteem in which CRASH is held. I am delighted that BMN’s showpiece event was able to provide an early Christmas present for this fantastic charity.”
