YPiC Quiz 2025 raises an incredible £3,600 for CRASH
CRASH was honoured to be chosen as the benefitting charity for the Constructing Excellence SECBE Awards which took place on Thursday 27th June 2019 at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in Hyde Park, London.
Each year the Constructing Excellence SECBE Awards are a celebration of everything the Built Environment has to be proud of in the London and South East region. It was their biggest awards ceremony yet, with 600 guests celebrating the success of the region’s finest people, organisations and projects.
After hearing from CRASH Senior Partnership Manager, Kate Marsh, guests were encouraged to donate what they could to support CRASH. The evening’s fundraising started with a generous £500 from Crofton Consulting, rising to a record £7,151 that was very generously rounded up to £8,000 by VolkerWessels UK.
Guests also took part in a ‘Hit or Miss’ game where music played, and guests had to guess whether the song had been a number 1 hit. CRASH Patron Knauf Insulation kindly donated two tickets to see ‘Impractical Jokers’ in their hospitality box at Manchester Arena for the winner of the game.
‘‘Thank you to all at the Constructing Excellence SECBE Awards and their guests for their generosity. Your support means CRASH can continue to create places that care for people who are homeless or in a hospice when they are at their most vulnerable.’’

Thank you also to our wonderful volunteers from CRASH Patron Beale & Co who gave their time to help with the charity collection.
The Constructing Excellence SECBE Awards will return for 2020 with entries opening in December 2019 for projects carried out this year – to register your interest, email Tina McGeachan at tina@secbe.org.uk and if you would like to be added to their awards mailing list to be kept up-to-date with SECBE news.
