Corporate Patrons create and donate washbags to homelessness charities and hospices this Christmas

Whilst we may take cleaning our teeth or having a shower for granted, many people who are homeless have limited access to this basic right and dignity. This Christmas, CRASH Corporate Patrons supported people experiencing homelessness by creating washbags for some of the amazing charities CRASH supports.

An incredible ten Corporate Patrons took part in CRASH’s 2023 washbag initiative, collating items such as soap, toothbrushes and winter weather essentials including hats and gloves. Over 200 individual washbags were created, with co-workers putting their own personal touch and care into each bag before hand-delivering to the charities.

This year CRASH was able to include St Christopher’s Hospice and Rennie Grove Hospice in the initiative, with Patron Companies creating individual bags for patients and their loved ones who visit. Corporate Patrons AECOM, ACO Technologies, Arcadis, BAM, Beale & Co, Dulux Decorator Centre, Geberit, NG Bailey, VolkerFitzpatrick and 8Build all gathered essential items this Christmas and delivered them to nine homelessness charities and two hospices.

“NG Bailey had the pleasure to support CRASH with their Winter initiative by creating and donating washbags for the homeless to Your Place. We would like to thank all of our supply chain partners who provided the toiletries and were able to help make a real difference in the lives of homeless people this Christmas.”

“It’s amazing to see so many of our Corporate Patrons taking part in the initiative. CRASH is grateful to receive such incredible support from individuals and companies within the construction industry, coming together to help some of the most vulnerable people within our society; those who are homeless and children and adults receiving hospice care.”
