Hatty Wilson takes on TCS London Marathon in aid of CRASH

On Sunday 27th April, Hatty Wilson, HR Advisor at Reds10 proudly crossed the finish line of the London Marathon 2025 after running an impressive 26.2 miles in aid of CRASH’s work with homelessness charities and hospices.

With a record number of runners taking part, spectators lined the streets in their thousands to cheer participants on, and Hatty’s friends and family were there every step of the way – providing just the boost she needed during the toughest moments of the race. Hatty tackled the challenge in an amazing 4 hours and 47 minutes, staying cool by running through showers and pouring water over her head throughout the course. She battled knee pain at the 25km mark but, spurred on by the roaring crowds and support from loved ones – kept going all the way to the finish line.

In the months leading up to the marathon, Hatty set up Reds10 Run Club to help with her training; with colleagues joining her on regular runs, Hatty stayed motivated and powered through cold winter evenings and long-distance sessions. Thanks to her dedicated training and the generosity of colleagues, friends, and family, Hatty smashed her fundraising target and raised an incredible £3,465. This vital funding will make a real difference to CRASH’s work – helping to create safe, welcoming spaces for people experiencing homelessness and those receiving hospice care.

From struggling to run 3km last August to completing 42km in April, Hatty’s journey has been nothing short of inspiring. Though she says she won’t be signing up for another marathon anytime soon, she plans to continue running – just at a less intense level!

A huge congratulations and thank you to Hatty – your incredible effort, positivity, and fundraising will have a lasting impact. We’re so proud to have you on Team CRASH!

Reflecting on the day, Hatty shared:

I am so pleased I managed to raise more than I was aiming for, for CRASH, everyone has been so generous which is amazing and definitely helped keep me motivated. I know the money is going to a great cause which is an amazing feeling. The crowds and support were absolutely crazy and it was the best experience (whilst also being the worst and hardest thing I’ve ever done). I definitely won’t be doing another marathon but hope to keep up running to a less intense level! I’m so happy I’ve done it and proud to say I’ve gone from struggling to run 3km in August to running 42km in April!
