CRASH delighted to return to the CPA Autumn Lunch as charity partner
Industry recognised as CRASH charity announces the winners of the Above and Beyond Awards 2020
It is with pride that CRASH charity announces the winners of their Above and Beyond Awards 2020 which celebrates the outstanding achievements of CRASH Patron companies, who have supported the charity and their vital work.
The awards recognise companies who have gone above and beyond, by channelling their professional expertise, construction products and fundraising, to build places that care for homeless people and children and adults who need end of life care in a hospice.
The winners this year are:
Arcadis
CRASH Charity Patron of the Year
Donating the most Professional Expertise
As Project Advisors, Arcadis visited every project with CRASH and produced a pro bono report for the charities visited, which was personalised to their construction project. On top of this, Arcadis were always at the end of the phone and happy to give the CRASH team advice on upcoming projects.
Dulux Trade
CRASH Charity Patron of the Year
Donating Product to the most charities
Dulux Trade donated paint to a large number of homelessness and hospice projects up and down the country. Dulux Trade also provided advice and guidance on what paint best suited certain surfaces. This was always delivered on time and free of charge.
Geberit
CRASH Charity Patron of the Year
Donating the most Construction Product
Geberit provided products to both homelessness and hospice projects across the country. In the case of Ashgate Hospice, this now means that patients have larger, accessible, spacious shower rooms and separate toilet facilities to accompany the new bedrooms which were created, in place of shared wards.

Sunbelt Rental
CRASH Charity Loyalty Award
10 years as a Patron
Sunbelt Rentals has given CRASH 10 years of support and over that time their expertise and products have helped countless homelessness and hospice projects. We are truly grateful to them for all their incredible help and encouragement. This kind of loyal partnership is incredibly valuable to the development of CRASH and everything that we do.
Taylor Wimpey
CRASH Charity Top Fundraising Patron of the Year
Led by their charity committee, Taylor Wimpey takes a very strategic approach to their fundraising for CRASH. In 2019-20 they have shown great commitment; returning as primary sponsors of the Wildgoose Chase and endorsing staff teambuilding through multiple team entries. They have complimented this with their own company-wide fundraising including a silent auction and a generous company donation, as well as integrating a charity element into business activities like a company survey. This committed approach has meant they have raised a phenomenal £32,798 for CRASH in 2019-20.
VolkerFitzpatrick
CRASH Charity Patron Contractor of the Year
Outstanding Leadership on Charity Projects
VolkerFitzpatrick truly went above and beyond when they led and delivered both a lounge refurbishment for 140 residents at Caritas Anchor House and a dining room extension at Greenwich and Bexley Hospice. In both instances, VolkerFitzpatrick really grasped the CRASH ethos and involved as many of CRASH’s other Patrons and their own supply chain as possible to deliver the project at the lowest possible price. Huge savings were generated with the charities only having to pay a fraction of the commercial value.

‘‘Congratulations to all these companies on their well-deserved CRASH awards. Thanks to their expertise and generosity, they have helped, and will continue to help, thousands of people who have been homeless, and children and adults who need end of life care in a hospice. In the year of this award, CRASH was able to help 44 homelessness and hospice projects, providing professional expertise, construction products and grants worth £916,000. Each of our Patron companies played a huge part in this social impact across the UK. Working together, we transform night shelters, hostels, day centres and hospices, helping some of the most vulnerable people in our society by creating places that care for people.’’
