
Construction Industry steps forward for the BIG March in aid of CRASH's vital work
This new year has brought exciting developments at CRASH, including a new team member in January, building on the many additions to our team in 2024. At the heart of CRASH is a small but dedicated team working tirelessly to transform the built environment for homelessness and hospice charities across the UK.
Trisha Pickersgill, Chief Executive
Trisha joined CRASH in May 2024, bringing with her 18 years of experience in hospice management and care. Before stepping into her role as Chief Executive at CRASH, she served as Director of Business Development, Operations, and Performance at Rennie Grove Peace Hospice. Having witnessed the value of CRASH’s work firsthand as a beneficiary of CRASH at Rennie Grove Peace Hospice, Trisha is committed to ensuring the charity continues to thrive, providing vital construction expertise to charitable organisations in need.
Vipesh Mistry, Projects Manager
Vipesh, a mechanical engineer by background, has over 26 years of experience in the construction industry. Seconded from AECOM, he joined CRASH in 2023 and now oversees project applications, site visits, and the coordination of construction expertise donated by CRASH’s Corporate Patrons.
Vipesh is the Project Manager at CRASH and works with Assistant Projects Manager, Ruth, to manage everything related to our projects. This includes reviewing charity applications and visiting project sites across the country. They reach out to our network of Corporate Patrons and supporters to see if they can lend their expertise to help construct places that care for people, utilising their vast experience and generous donations of construction products.
Ruth Marsden, Assistant Projects Manager
Ruth joined CRASH in May 2024 as an Assistant Projects Manager on secondment from Corporate Patron BAM. She is a civil engineer by background, graduating from the University of Surrey with MEng Civil Engineering in 2020. With a civil engineering background, she brings experience from major infrastructure projects, including High Speed 2.
Alongside CRASH, Ruth is passionate about inclusivity and professional development and chairs one of BAM’s Inclusion Networks (Future BAM), is heavily involved with various volunteer roles at the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), sits on the Young Professionals in Construction (YPiC) London committee, and is studying for an MSc in Management and Leadership at Cranfield University.
Christian Muehl, Finance Manager
Christian has been part of CRASH since 2016, managing the charity’s financial operations with precision and care. A Qualified Accountant with over 15 years of experience in charity accounting and auditing, Christian plays a vital role in ensuring that CRASH’s funding is allocated effectively to maximize its impact.
Michael Allen, Corporate Partnerships Manager
Mike joined CRASH in June 2024, transitioning from a career in commercial management and company ownership into the charity sector. His role focuses on building and maintaining relationships with CRASH’s Corporate Patrons and supporters, supporting with fundraising and fostering long-term partnerships that contribute both financially and through pro bono services to CRASH’s projects.
Eloise Murphy, Fundraising Executive
Eloise has been part of CRASH since September 2023, supporting fundraising initiatives and event organization. She plays a crucial role in engaging with CRASH’s Corporate Patrons and supporters, ensuring they have the opportunity to contribute to the charity’s mission. From managing fundraising events to assisting those participating in charity challenges, Eloise helps to maximize CRASH’s reach and impact.
Imogen Heap, Marketing & Communications Manager
The newest addition to the CRASH team, Imogen joined in January 2025 to lead the charity’s marketing and communications efforts. With a strong background in communications and a passion for social impact, she is focused on raising awareness of CRASH’s work and engaging the construction industry network to drive further support for CRASH and the various projects currently underway.
With a wealth of expertise spanning finance, construction, corporate partnerships, fundraising and communications, the CRASH team is committed to driving positive change. Working alongside its dedicated Corporate Patrons, Supporter and Charity Partners, CRASH continues to create life-changing spaces for the people who need them most.
