CRASH delighted to return to the CPA Autumn Lunch as charity partner
NMBS continues to honour CRASH as charity partner at their annual Dinner Dance
On the 26th of October, independent builders’ merchants and suppliers came together for a night of celebration. Up to 1,200 guests attended the NMBS annual Dinner Dance, which was held in the prestigious Great Room at the Grosvenor House in London.
Guests were greeted by a drink’s reception, followed by a call to dinner and welcoming speech by Chris Hayward, CEO at the NMBS. Everyone enjoyed delicious food; the starter was a cheese soufflé, followed by confit Gressingham Duck Leg and finally an assortment of desserts, with coffee and mints sponsored by Heidelberg Materials. Additionally, British Gypsum sponsored one of the gifts at the event; it’s wonderful to see our Corporate Patrons consistently supporting the National Merchants Buying Society. The evening’s entertainment included a Cabaret, with songs from Dream girls, Chicago and Les Misérables. Followed by the headline entertainment, English pop singer and previous Spandau Ballet member, Tony Hadley – which got the crowd up and dancing!
Guests generously donated and raised an incredible £9,066 which the NMBS kindly rounded up to £10,000. CRASH is so grateful for such amazing support from the industry; these donations will go towards helping people when they are at their most vulnerable, creating warm and safe spaces for homeless people and children and adults receiving hospice care.
Thank you to NMBS for inviting CRASH to a wonderful evening, and to Makita for generously donating an iPad Pro as the Charity draw prize. We are so grateful to Patrick Cantellow from Knauf who joined the CRASH team for the evening, and we would not have been able to collect donations without the help of our wonderful volunteers. Thank you to Chris and Sarah Green, Ian and Mandy Chadwick, James and Cat Galloway, Graham and Tina Barton, and Anneka Helgesen from Corporate Patron ACO Technologies. Thank you to Oliver Latchford from Corporate Patron British Gypsum, and Charlie Smith and Olivia Burton from the NMBS. We are so grateful for this support collecting vital donations, which will go towards creating places that care for people when they are at their most vulnerable.
“CRASH was delighted to attend the fabulous NMBS dinner on Saturday 26th October, clearly months of hard work and organisation goes into make this such an enjoyable and successful evening. An incredible £10,000 was raised in one single evening and this will make a big difference to our projects with homelessness charities and hospices. Congratulations and thanks to all the NMBS team, all the sponsors, supporters and of course all those who donated this is truly appreciated.”
