NMBS Gala Dinner 2026 raises over £6,000 for CRASH and Rainy Day Trust

On Wednesday 15th April, CRASH was proud to be a charity alongside Rainy Day Trust at this year’s NMBS Gala Dinner. In tradition with previous years, it was a fantastic event for our team and a brilliant celebration of all the incredible support received from everyone across the building materials industry.

An incredible £6,132.03 was donated from NMBS members, suppliers and CRASH supporters during the evening, which is to be shared between the NMBS chosen charities, CRASH and the Rainy Day Trust. This generous donation will directly impact and support our work and projects which provide safe, dignified environments for people who are homeless and those receiving end-of-life hospice care.

After this year’s success, CRASH are incredibly proud to have raised over £160,000 over the years through our partnership with NMBS.

This year’s Gala Dinner not only raised vital funds it also raised awareness and shone a light on the shared values and vision that are at the core of our industry. We’re incredibly grateful to NMBS for their enduring support and for providing us with such a powerful platform to continue to make a difference.

CRASH attended the NMBS Exhibition 2026 the following day, which welcomed independent merchant members and suppliers from across the industry. As one of the largest events of its kind in the UK, the exhibition provided the perfect stage to showcase CRASH’s mission: to create places that care for people, with the help of the construction industry.

Our Chief Executive, Trisha Pickersgill and Corporate Partnership Manager, Mike Allen had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with a diverse range of visitors throughout the day, discussing our projects, industry partners and how they could get involved. Every conversation demonstrated the industries drive and enthusiasm to support social impact projects through construction.

It was also fantastic to connect with many of our amazing Corporate Patrons, including ACO Group, British Gypsum, Heidelberg Materials UK and Knauf Insulation, as well as our Charity Partner, Saint-Gobain. A huge thank you also to James Ward from Saint-Gobain Abrasives who decided on the day to run the London Marathon in support of CRASH.

Across the 2 days, it was an absolute pleasure to share our work and commitment to improving lives through construction with those in the industry. Thank you to the team at NMBS for organising such a fantastic event and for inviting CRASH to be part of it and we look forward to continuing our partnership.
