Oxford Half Marathon
The BIG March 2024
Get one step ahead and add The BIG March 2024 to your calendar!
Walk 10,000 steps each day in March & fundraise for CRASH – you will be supporting vital construction projects across the UK for homelessness charities and hospices.
Join as a company to promote team building and keep each other motivated or march solo. Get outdoors and be active – walking is a great way to catch up with a colleague, take a moment for yourself or get some fresh air with your four-legged friend.
All you need to do is get walking and complete 10,000 steps every day between 1st – 31st March. How you reach your 310,000-step goal is up to you; you may prefer little and often strolls; a long weekend hike or try creative ways to get your steps in, like dancing around the kitchen or gardening.
Donate your week’s commute, £1 for every day marched or fundraise by asking for sponsorship from friends, family, and colleagues.
Double your impact – ask your company if they will generously match the donations raised by colleagues.
Every step and each donation will help people who are homeless, and children and adults who need hospice care by constructing and refurbishing the buildings and spaces they need.

Let’s hear from our previous BIG March supporters…
“There has been a buzz around the office with everyone checking up on each other’s progress. We have been sharing our pictures of us out on walks and sharing funny ways of getting our step count up such as Marching on the spot whilst brushing your teeth! It’s been great to have a target to work to.”
Social Value Manager at NG Bailey
“I have really enjoyed taking part in The BIG March for CRASH. I had forgotten just how far 10,000 steps are and how difficult it can be to fit these into a working day. I have done this by getting off the train a station early each way to and from work and going for a walk at lunchtime where I can. In the process, I have managed to walk through the filming of a new Hollywood blockbuster about Napoleon and saw a baby seal in the Thames – both, I would have missed had it not been for The BIG March. It has, of course, been fantastic to raise funds for CRASH too.”

“This challenge has ignited me to keep healthy in the future, I have every intention of continuing at least 10,000 steps a day and I will remember the March walks in the snow and rain with fondness.”
