CRASH Newsletter: August 2024
August is all about CRASH! Meet the CRASH team and find out how you can get involved…
1. Meet the (mostly) new CRASH team
This year, we have seen some big and exciting changes at CRASH, including the appointment of our new Chief Executive, Trisha Pickersgill, in May. We have three new members in post and we’d like to introduce you to the whole CRASH team, old and new.
- Trisha Pickersgill, Chief Executive
- Christian Muehl, Finance Manager
- Michael Allen, Corporate Partnerships Manager
- Vipesh Mistry, Projects Manager
- Ruth Marsden, Assistant Projects Manager
- Hannah Miller, Communications and Events Manager
- Eloise Murphy, Fundraising Assistant
2. CRASH needs your help
After welcoming so many new faces to the CRASH team, we are keen to ensure that we fully understand how our Corporate Patrons can support our projects and that we are utilising the full breadth of skills you can offer – and get you more involved with CRASH’s work!
To facilitate this, we have created a skills matrix and need your help completing it! We will be sharing the matrix with our Patrons in the coming days; please complete this by outlining all of the skills that you can offer CRASH and adding in any that we might have missed.
Active fundraising for all
There are many ways you can get involved as a company team or solo to raise vital funds for homelessness and hospice building projects across the country. Every donation you raise will help construct places that care for homeless people and children and adults with life-limiting illnesses.
- Oxford Half Marathon – 22k marathon in Oxford on Sunday, 13 October.
- Inflatable 5k Obstacle Course – September events in Carlisle, York and Newbury.
- Hackney Half – 22k marathon in London on Sunday, 18 May 2025.
- 25th Construction Industry Dragon Boat Chalengel – on Thursday 22 May 2025
- Pavestone Rally 2025 – 3-7 September 2025, from Dusseldorf (Germany) to Amsterdam (Holland), while rocking fancy dress and completing challenges along the way.
Start a ripple of change
Look out for our annual Christmas card appeal launching in September. This Christmas, your company can start a ripple of change for people experiencing homelessness and children and adults receiving hospice care. It begins when you make a donation. You’re not just giving; you’re setting off a chain reaction of kindness, and together, the industry can create a wave of positive change for sick and vulnerable people across the UK.
Look out for our appeal communications in the industry press, on social media, and in your inbox!
