CRASH Newsletter: September 2024

The CRASH Corporate Patrons’ Reception and Above and Beyond Awards is an annual celebration to recognise companies and individuals who have gone above and beyond to support CRASH and the charities we support across the UK.

The evening also featured two of the charities CRASH has supported over the last 12 months, Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice in Yorkshire and The Manna day centre for homeless people in London. Guests heard first-hand how their commitment to CRASH impacts the lives of people experiencing homelessness and those receiving hospice care.

Emmaus Bolton approached CRASH for help with a leaky pitched roof, however after the project visit, it was clear that all the adjacent flat roofs also needed to be repaired. CRASH Corporate Patrons Arcadis, Bauder and MiTek rallied to support the homelessness charity by completely replacing the large pitched roof and seven flat roofs!

Vipesh Mistry, Projects Manager at CRASH said “This project is more than fixing a leaking roof; it shows the Companions (residents) at Emmaus and the wider community that we care, and that they are valued.”

Look out for our annual Christmas card appeal launching next week! This Christmas, your company can start a ripple of change for people experiencing homelessness and children and adults receiving hospice care.

It begins when you make a donation. You’re not just giving; you’re setting off a chain reaction of kindness, and together, the industry can create a wave of positive change for sick and vulnerable people across the UK.

After welcoming so many new faces to the CRASH team, we are keen to ensure that we fully understand how our Corporate Patrons can support our projects and that we are utilising the full breadth of skills you can offer, so you can get more involved with CRASH’s vital work – constructing places that care for people.

To facilitate this, we have created a skills matrix and need your help completing it! We will be sharing the matrix with our Corporate Patrons in the coming weeks; please complete this by outlining all of the skills that you can offer CRASH and adding in any that we might have missed.

Desperately seeking… raffle prizes

We are attending several industry events and awards in the next six months and we ugently need raffle prizes to enhance our fundraising potential.

We’re looking for:
• Gifts like food hampers, champagne and Gin sets.
• Gift vouchers for John Lewis, Amazon and restaurants.
• Sporting tickets like football matches, Wimbledon and motorsports.
• Experiences like golf days, sailing and Red Letter Days
