1. Planned Preventative Maintenance Surveys: a new service from CRASH to homelessness charities and hospices

Emmaus Coventry & Warwickshire applied to CRASH for help with their Old Vicarage site, a late 16th century Grade II listed building that is home to 18 formerly homeless people. They wanted to improve the living conditions for residents and the working environment for staff. The charity needed a comprehensive listed building condition survey to identify ‘big ticket’ maintenance items requiring urgent attention and advice on a considered investment programme and budget required for the next five, ten and 30 years.

“The initial survey of the Emmaus Coventry & Warwickshire Old Vicarage building funded by CRASH, and the subsequent repairs and upgrades have had a great impact on improving the living conditions of our community. The Old Vicarage is at the centre of our work to prevent homelessness and the improvements mean we will be able to continue this work knowing the structure and facilities we provide are well maintained, thanks to CRASH.”

2. Join The Big March and spring into action for CRASH

We need you to walk 10,000 steps a day between 1st -31st March in aid of CRASH. Whether you’re marching as a personal challenge or together as a company, we need your help to fundraise for our vital work constructing places that care for people, who are homeless and children and adults receiving end of life care in a hospice.

We’ll be with you every step of the way as the CRASH team have pledged to join in. Every step and each donation raised will go towards helping homeless men and women, and children and adults who need hospice care by constructing and refurbishing the buildings they need.
