A new lease of life for an old barracks supporting homeless people and the wider community.
EC Harris’ Colourful Volunteer Project
11 colleagues from EC Harris’ Social Infrastructure team took part in a Volunteer Team Day held at Pilsdon Community in Bridport, Dorset.
The need
The challenge for the day was to decorate the external façade of the Community’s short term accommodation and metal storage container, which stores wood pellets for the Community’s biomass boiler system.
The solution
The team worked well together tirelessly to eventually finish all coats required to both buildings, despite the unfavourable cold February conditions.
How patrons helped
This was made possible by the support of CRASH and fellow Patron company Dulux Trade who provided free of charge paint and equipment together with an expert supervisor to ensure an acceptable quality finish.
However, the outcome would not have been achievable without the hard work of EC Harris’ Liam Copsey, Peter Hogg, Neelam Dhupar, Piers Currell, Jenny Green, Kevin Hatton, Scott Moore, Justin Pickford, Richard Bonner, James Halse and Wayne Howorth.
