“Homeless Oxfordshire provides an open door for lives shaped by trauma and disadvantage.”
We were proud to support Homeless Oxfordshire again, following our work together in 2023. This time, we supported a refurbishment project for their women-only accommodation, which included upgrading the kitchen and eight bedrooms to create a more comfortable and welcoming environment.
In 2023-2024 Homeless Oxfordshire supported 53 women across their services, and they needed to create women only move on accommodation to provide the adequate security and safety for vulnerable guests. The property was purchased in October 2025, thanks to a generous legacy donation alongside funds raised through their Her Way Home appeal to the local community.
A huge thank you to our Corporate Patron Dulux Decorator Centre, who generously provided the paint for the project. CRASH was delighted to contribute a £5,000 grant, made possible by the incredible support of our Corporate Patrons and fundraisers.
The total Gift in Kind value for this project was £6280.00, including pro bono materials and a grant.
“With every choice, from paint colours to materials, we had the future residents in mind. Our environment can have a huge impact on our sense of wellbeing, and the women who will live here have been through so much. It was so important to us to get it right – to create a space that feels safe, dignified and empowering.”

The refurbished home now features:
The new house provides a safe, stable environment where residents who have experienced significant trauma can receive wraparound support. With support from a specialist team and access to the full range of services, residents will be empowered to connect with the local community and move forward with confidence.
“The house itself is truly impressive. It’s honestly one of the best examples of supported accommodation we’ve ever seen.” Vipesh Mistry, Projects Manager at CRASH Charity
The opening of the house is an important step towards improving outcomes for women experiencing homelessness in Oxfordshire by responding to the specific challenges faced by women. The house is centred around supporting residents whilst fostering independence.
With further fundraising activities Homeless Oxfordshire aims to establish a “move-on fund” to help female residents settle into their own homes when they’re ready to live independently whilst still able to access the services provided during their transition.
