VolkerFitzpatrick Named CRASH Corporate Patron of the Month for September

CRASH is delighted to name VolkerFitzpatrick as our Corporate Patron of the Month for September, recognising their proactive project support, generous donation of materials, and commitment to delivering social value within local communities.

Over the past year, VolkerFitzpatrick has demonstrated how construction businesses can make a meaningful difference by using their expertise, industry connections and resources to support charitable projects. Through practical project assistance and ongoing engagement with CRASH, they are helping homelessness charities create safe, welcoming and functional spaces for the people they support.

Project Support

Since September 2025, VolkerFitzpatrick has provided site project management support valued at £10,500 to Emmaus Bolton.

VolkerFitzpatrick played a key role in supporting refurbishment works at a CRASH-supported homelessness project in Bolton. Working closely with their supply chain partners, they managed and coordinated painters and drywall installers, enabling the decoration of communal areas, the creation of a gym, and the refurbishment of corridors serving the accommodation rooms.

A particularly noteworthy aspect of this support was that VolkerFitzpatrick proactively approached CRASH to explore opportunities to assist charitable projects within the Bolton area. Following the award of their local Arrow Point project, they sought ways to deliver social value directly within the community and identified an opportunity to support a CRASH project nearby.

 “I was so pleased to be involved in the Bolton, Emmaus project. As a team whilst working in Bolton we wanted to do something positive for the local area and our relationship with CRASH provided the perfect opportunity. Seeing how our involvement helped make a difference was so rewarding. I got to learn how important these places are. The redecoration works could not have been done without the help from our supply chain partner Advanced Drywall Systems and S.P Smith Painting.’’

This approach demonstrates the significant role CRASH Corporate Patrons can play in supporting local communities while fulfilling social value commitments connected to projects they are delivering. By bringing together industry expertise, supply chain relationships and a commitment to community impact, VolkerFitzpatrick has shown how construction projects can create benefits far beyond the site boundary.

The support has helped improve key communal spaces including the kitchen, dining and gym area, creating a more welcoming and functional environment for the people who rely on the charity’s services. Their contribution also highlights the value of collaboration across the construction industry and the powerful impact that can be achieved when businesses actively seek opportunities to support projects within their local communities.

Looking Ahead

VolkerFitzpatrick’s commitment to supporting CRASH projects continues beyond their work in Bolton. The company is already exploring opportunities to assist several forthcoming projects, including:

• Emmaus Sussex, where VolkerFitzpatrick will manage the decoration of the loading bay and media room as part of their commitment to delivering social value through the Southern Renewals Enterprise framework.
• Emmaus Hertfordshire, where the team will review an existing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) programme to help identify and address future building maintenance requirements.

These future projects demonstrate VolkerFitzpatrick’s ongoing commitment to supporting charities that help people experiencing homelessness and creating lasting social value through their expertise.

Fundraising Support

Alongside their project support, VolkerFitzpatrick has contributed £27,588 through fundraising activities over the past year, demonstrating their continued commitment to CRASH and the charities we support.

Their fundraising efforts have included a range of successful events and company contributions, led by the outstanding achievement of the VolkerFitzpatrick Golf Day 2026, which raised £19,000. Additional support came through one-off company donations totalling £5,250, while colleagues and supporters also took part in fundraising initiatives including the Cambridge Half Marathon, raising £1,228, and a Badminton Fundraiser, which generated £1,077. Seasonal fundraising activities contributed a further £592, alongside £440 raised through participation in the CRASH Golf Day 2026.

Through a combination of fundraising, charitable giving and practical project support, VolkerFitzpatrick continues to demonstrate a strong commitment to CRASH’s mission. Their generosity is helping homelessness charities improve their buildings and create welcoming environments where people can access the support they need.
