BAM Named CRASH Corporate Patron of the Month for August

CRASH is delighted to name BAM UK & Ireland as our Corporate Patron of the Month for August, recognising their exceptional project support, generous donations, and continued commitment to helping homelessness charities create safe, welcoming and sustainable spaces for the people they support.

Since August 2025, BAM has provided support totalling £59,643.50, demonstrating the considerable impact that construction industry businesses can make when they use their expertise, resources and materials to support charitable projects. Through significant project contributions and ongoing patronage, BAM continues to play an important role in helping CRASH create places that care for people.

Project Support

Since August last year, BAM has provided £49,631 worth of project support to homelessness charity UnityMK, including; professional expertise to the value of £2,436, and construction material donations worth £47,195.

Their standout contribution came through BAM’s Discovery Building project in Antarctica, where a substantial quantity of construction materials was donated to support the transformation of UnityMK’s new headquarters in Milton Keynes.

CRASH is supporting UnityMK’s plans to create a new central hub for homelessness support. The project reached a major milestone with the delivery of five lorry loads of donated construction materials, coordinated and overseen by BAM. CRASH’s Safiye Arayan joined Rob Willford from UnityMK on site, while BAM’s Neil Goulding managed the delivery process.

The donation construction materials included:

Knauf Insulation – Rocksilk Insulation
Kingspan Kooltherm K16 Insulation
Fermacell High Performance Fibre Gypsum Building Board
Isover Acoustic Partition Roll Insulation
Drainage materials

While BAM Site Solutions provided a telehandler and driver to support the logistics of lifting, moving and positioning the donated materials, helping ensure the delivery was completed safely and efficiently.

This remarkable contribution will play a vital role in the refurbishment of UnityMK’s new headquarters, helping to create a welcoming and functional space from which the charity can provide essential services to people experiencing homelessness across Milton Keynes.

The donation highlights the power of collaboration across the construction industry and demonstrates how surplus materials can be redirected to create meaningful social impact. By supporting UnityMK’s vision, BAM is helping to ensure that vulnerable individuals have access to the support, facilities and services they need in a safe and dignified environment.

Fundraising Support

Alongside their project support, BAM has contributed £10,013 through Corporate Patronage and fundraising activities over the past year.

Through both financial support and practical project assistance, BAM continues to demonstrate a strong commitment to CRASH’s mission, enabling more homelessness charities and hospices to improve their buildings and better serve their communities.
