CRASH delighted to return to the CPA Autumn Lunch as charity partner

Recognised as one of the most important construction industry networking events; a senior audience came together from across the construction supply chain including manufacturers and suppliers, clients, contractors, as well as influential political and media contacts. The CPA Autumn Lunch has partnered with CRASH for 22 years, with this year’s event raising an incredible £4,371 for our work with homelessness charities and hospices.

Guests were welcomed by a drink’s reception, and speech from Peter Caplehorn, Chief Executive at the Construction Products Association. Trisha Pickersgill, Chief Executive at CRASH then spoke to the audience; highlighting stories from the homelessness charities and hospices that CRASH supports and outlining the impact of our vital work assisting their building projects.

The event saw a captivating performance by Starlight Sounds, a piano and vocal duo who performed whilst guests enjoyed a delicious three course meal. Guest speaker Martin Bayfield entertained the audience with anecdotes from his rugby career and time spent on the Harry Potter set playing Hagrid!

Guests generously donated for a chance to win from a wonderful selection of charity draw prizes, including a Fortnum and Mason Hamper donated by the CFA, a 59club voucher – offering 4 golfers the chance to play at any 59club, kindly donated by Ibstock, a £100 Amazon Voucher sponsored by the CPA. There was also a Makita Combo Kit donated by the NMBS and finally a signed copy of Martin Bayfield’s book “A Very Tall Story”. The event raised over £4000 for our vital work; thank you to everyone who kindly donated – helping CRASH to create places that care for people who are homeless and children and adults receiving hospice care.

We would like to thank to the volunteers from CRASH Corporate Patron NG Bailey for volunteering their time at the CPA Autumn Lunch.
