CRASH delighted to return to the CPA Autumn Lunch as charity partner
CRASH Newsletter: July 2024
We’d like to start by introducing our new Corporate Partnerships Manager, Mike Allen, who joined us in June. Mike has extensive experience building partnerships in the commercial and charity sectors and looks forward to meeting all CRASH patrons and supporters.
Mike’s role is to foster stronger relationships with our Patrons and supporters, creating long-term mutually beneficial partnerships that will benefit our Corporate Patrons, CRASH and, importantly, the homelessness and hospice charities and individuals we support with vital construction projects.
Mike plans to implement regular Corporate Patron meetings, collaborate to maximise our Patrons’ professional expertise and construction products and develop opportunities for companies to fundraise for CRASH. If you have not already done so, you can expect to hear from Mike or his team.
VolkerFitzpatrick’s smash it at annual Golf Day
CRASH was delighted to attend VolkerFitzpatrick’s 7th annual Paul Lane Memorial Golf Day, which raised a record-breaking £23,647 in aid of CRASH. CRASH is extremely grateful for VolkerFitzpatrick’s unwavering dedication to the charity and its support through fundraising, Corporate Patronage and project involvement. The donations raised will go towards helping people when they are at their most vulnerable, constructing places that care for adults experiencing homelessness and children and adults needing hospice care.
Our 17th year as Construction News Awards charity partner
The Construction News Awards recognise the People, Pride and Passion of the construction industry, crowning 24 winners in an array of categories at its iconic ceremony. Over 1200 guests from across the industry gathered at The Grosvenor House Hotel on the 11th of July for a wonderful evening. A huge thank you to the guests who donated, raising an amazing £13,279 in aid of CRASH. Your support is integral to CRASH’s mission, and without your generous contributions, we could not continue our vital work. The CRASH team could not have collected donations without the wonderful volunteers from Corporate Patrons BAM, Beale & Co, NG Bailey and Knauf.
More incredible fundraising by the construction industry
The last few weeks were a fantastic fundraising period for CRASH’s vital work, helping homelessness charities and hospices with vital construction projects.
On Thursday, June 27th, Corporate Patron 8build hosted their annual Supply Chain Golf Day in aid of CRASH, raising an incredible £13,390. The event, held at Stock Brook Manor Golf Club in Billericay, Essex, doubled the amount raised last year thanks to the generosity of 8build and its supply chain.
On Friday, July 5th, the Construction Industry Sailing Cup took to the water, raising £3,850 for CRASH. Seven teams participated: Corporate Patron 8build, which claimed the overall winner’s trophy, and supporters PHP Architects, Foreman Homes, SEGRO, and CS2 Ltd.
Seven teams took on the Inflatable 5K Obstacle Challenge, the world’s largest inflatable obstacle course, raising £2,070 for CRASH’s vital work. Participants from Corporate Patrons AECOM, British Gypsum, Genuit Group, JNP Group, Kingspan, and supporters N-Able and ETEX Group tackled 32 giant obstacles, running and bouncing their way to the finish line!
CRASH was delighted to be invited to the annual TRIbuild Golf Day as a beneficiary. Over 60 Tribuild clients and suppliers attended the event at The Grove. CRASH hosted a nearest-the-pin at hole 16, where all players generously donated, raising £470. Thank you to the directors of Tribuild. We look forward to more fundraising in the future.
8build named Corporate Patron of the Month
8build has been named Corporate Patron of the Month for July for going above and beyond to raise vital funds for CRASH, including the 8build Supply Chain Golf Day, The Construction Industry Sailing Cup, The Construction Industry Dragon Boat Challenge and superstar fundraiser Andrew Nightingale running a 10K in aid of CRASH. As a Corporate Patron, 8build also contributes their professional expertise helping homelessness charities and hospices with vital construction projects. 8buid, we salute you!
